Proudly Serving The Lower Mainland
Based in the Fraser Valley, we install flooring throughout Metro Vancouver and surrounding communities.
Built On Craft, Finished With Pride
Lucrative Carpet & Flooring was founded on a simple idea: treat every home like it's our own, and every floor like our name is written on it — because it is.
A Flooring Company That Does It The Right Way
We started Lucrative Carpet & Flooring after years of working in the trade and seeing the same story repeat: homeowners paying good money for floors that failed early because of rushed prep and cut corners.
Our answer was to build a company around doing it properly. That means honest advice about which product actually suits your space (not just the most expensive one), meticulous subfloor preparation, and installers who take genuine pride in tight seams, flush transitions and perfectly scribed edges.
Today we install carpet, hardwood, laminate, luxury vinyl and tile in homes, townhomes, rental properties and commercial spaces across the Lower Mainland — much of our work coming from referrals and repeat clients.
What We Stand On
Honest Guidance
We'll tell you when laminate makes more sense than hardwood, or when your subfloor needs work before anything goes down. Good advice first, sales second.
Meticulous Installation
Moisture testing, levelling, acclimatizing materials, power-stretching carpet — the invisible steps are the ones that make a floor last 20 years instead of 5.
Respect For Your Home
Furniture moved carefully, dust contained, old flooring hauled away, and every room vacuumed and walkthrough-ready before we call it done.
Clear Communication
Written quotes, confirmed schedules, and one point of contact from estimate to completion. You'll always know what's happening and when.
Fair, Transparent Pricing
Competitive rates with materials, labour, removal and prep itemized. The price we quote is the price you pay.
Standing Behind Our Work
Every installation is covered by our workmanship warranty on top of the manufacturer's product warranty. If something's not right, we make it right.

Comfort Where Your Family Lives
We supply carpet from trusted mills in every style and budget — from soft, dense plush for master bedrooms to hard-wearing frieze and berber for hallways, stairs and basements.
- Power-stretched installation — prevents ripples and buckling for the life of the carpet.
- Premium underlay options — upgrade the feel and lifespan of any carpet for a small cost.
- Pattern matching & invisible seams — placed in low-light, low-traffic lines wherever possible.
- Pet & stain-resistant lines — solution-dyed fibres that shrug off spills and claws.
Staircases Wrapped Like Tailoring
Stairs are the hardest carpet work in the house — and the most visible. Our installers hand-wrap each tread and riser (waterfall or Hollywood style, your choice) for crisp edges and a uniform nap on every step.
We also install carpet tile for offices and rec rooms, and budget-smart carpet for rental turnovers with fast scheduling between tenancies.
Popular Styles We Install
| Style | Feel & Look | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Plush / Saxony | Dense, smooth, luxurious — the classic soft bedroom carpet. | Bedrooms, formal living rooms |
| Frieze (Twist) | Tightly twisted fibres with a relaxed texture that hides footprints and vacuum marks. | Family rooms, stairs, hallways |
| Berber / Loop | Low, durable loop pile with a casual woven look. | Basements, offices, high traffic |
| Patterned Cut-Loop | Subtle geometric texture that adds a designer touch. | Stairs, dens, feature rooms |
| Carpet Tile | Modular squares — replace one tile instead of a room. | Offices, gyms, rec rooms |
Common Questions
How long does carpet installation take?
Most single rooms are done in a few hours; a full upper floor with stairs is typically one day. We confirm timing in your written quote and show up when we say we will.
Do you remove and dispose of the old carpet?
Yes — removal and disposal of your existing flooring is included as a line item in your estimate, and we haul it away the same day.
Does underlay really matter?
Enormously. Underlay determines how the carpet feels, how warm and quiet the room is, and how long the carpet lasts. We'll show you the options and price the upgrade honestly — it's usually the best value add on the whole quote.
Which carpet is best with kids and pets?
Solution-dyed polyester or nylon frieze is our usual recommendation — stain resistance is built into the fibre itself, and the textured twist hides day-to-day wear beautifully.
Feel The Difference Underfoot
We'll bring carpet samples to your home — see the colours in your own light.
The Floor That Adds Real Value
Hardwood is the only flooring buyers consistently pay more for. We install both engineered hardwood (stable, ideal for BC's climate and over concrete) and traditional solid hardwood, in oak, maple, hickory, walnut and more.
- Nail-down, glue-down & floating — we recommend the right method for your subfloor.
- Proper acclimatization — material rests on site so planks don't gap or cup later.
- Herringbone & chevron — statement patterns for entries, living rooms and feature spaces.
- Colour-matched trims — nosings, reducers and vents that disappear into the floor.
The Hardwood Look, Family-Proof
Today's laminate is nothing like the shiny planks of 15 years ago. Modern wide-plank laminate carries deep embossed texture, realistic bevels and AC4-rated wear layers that stand up to kids, pets and daily life better than many hardwoods.
- Wide-plank & long-board formats — fewer repeats, more realistic look.
- Water-resistant cores — many lines now handle everyday spills with ease.
- Quiet underlayment — reduces the hollow "click" sound cheap installs are known for.
- Excellent value — the go-to choice for rentals, basements and whole-home refreshes.
Engineered vs. Solid vs. Laminate
| Factor | Engineered Hardwood | Solid Hardwood | Laminate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Real wood surface | Yes — genuine hardwood veneer | Yes — 100% hardwood | No — photographic layer |
| Stability in BC climate | Excellent | Good (needs stable humidity) | Excellent |
| Over concrete / basements | Yes | Not recommended | Yes |
| Scratch resistance | Good | Good (refinishable) | Excellent |
| Relative cost | $$$ | $$$$ | $$ |

Bring Warmth & Character To Every Room
Free in-home measure with samples of our most popular woods and finishes.
100% Waterproof. 100% The Look.
LVP has become the most requested floor we install — and for good reason. Rigid-core SPC and WPC planks are fully waterproof, remarkably realistic, warm and quiet underfoot, and tough enough for dogs, kids and dropped pots.
- SPC (stone core) — maximum dent resistance and stability; ideal over concrete.
- WPC (wood core) — softer, warmer and quieter; a favourite for living areas.
- Whole-home continuity — one seamless floor from entry to kitchen to bedrooms.
- Attached underpad options — better sound, better feel, faster installs.
Beauty That Handles Water
For bathrooms, entryways and laundry rooms, porcelain and ceramic tile remain the gold standard — waterproof, timeless and endlessly customizable. We install floor tile with properly prepared, flat substrates and crisp, even grout lines.
Where budget matters most, seamless sheet vinyl delivers excellent water resistance with soft, warm comfort — a smart choice for rentals, laundry rooms and basements.
Room-By-Room Recommendations
Kitchens
LVP or tile. Waterproof, easy to clean, and tough against dropped dishes and rolling chairs. LVP is warmer and more forgiving underfoot.
Bathrooms & Laundry
Tile or sheet vinyl. Both handle standing water; tile adds resale polish, sheet vinyl wins on budget and warmth.
Basements
SPC vinyl plank. Fully waterproof, stable over concrete, and unaffected by the humidity swings that ruin laminate and hardwood below grade.
Entryways
Tile or SPC. Grit, slush and wet boots are no match — pair with a clean transition into the main floor.
Rentals & Suites
LVP or sheet vinyl. Maximum durability per dollar, fast turnover installs, and finishes tenants genuinely like.
Commercial
Commercial-grade LVP and carpet tile with high-wear layers, installed evenings or weekends to keep your business open.
One Waterproof Floor, Every Room Covered
Ask about whole-home LVP packages — our most popular project type.

- We book an in-home visit at a time that works for you, including evenings.
In-Home Measure & Samples
Day 2–5 · 45–60 minWe measure every room precisely, inspect subfloor condition, and bring physical samples so you can see colours and textures in your own lighting — not under showroom lights.
- Exact measurements for accurate material quantities — no over-ordering.
- Honest advice on what fits your budget, traffic level and household.

- Fixed pricing once you approve — the number you sign is the number you pay.
- We answer every question before you commit to anything.
Scheduling & Material Order
1–2 Weeks OutOnce you approve the quote, we order your materials and lock in an installation date. Hardwood and laminate get delivered early to acclimatize to your home's humidity and temperature.

Final Walkthrough
Same DayWe walk every room with you before we consider the job done. Anything that isn't right gets corrected on the spot — not on a follow-up visit.
Cleanup & Warranty
Same DayRooms are vacuumed, surfaces wiped down, and furniture replaced. You receive your workmanship warranty details plus manufacturer paperwork for your new floor — done and documented.
How To Prepare Your Home
A little prep on your end keeps installation day fast and smooth.
Clear Small Items
Pack away breakables, electronics and personal items from the work area. We handle furniture, you handle the delicate stuff.
Clear A Path
A clear route from the street or driveway to the work area speeds up material delivery and old-floor removal.
Plan For Pets
Tools, adhesives and open doors aren't pet-friendly for a day. A crate, a friend's house, or a closed-off room works well.
Arrange Parking
Let us know where our crew and material delivery should park, especially in strata buildings or tight streets.
Expect Some Noise
Removal and prep can be noisy for a few hours. We'll give you a realistic time window in advance.
Ask Anything
No question is too small. We'd rather explain something twice than have you wonder about it on installation day.
Common Questions About How We Work
Do I need to be home during installation?
It helps for the start of the day (so we can confirm details and you can ask questions) and for the final walkthrough, but you're welcome to come and go. Many clients work from home or run errands during the install.
What if my subfloor needs repair?
We flag this during the in-home measure whenever possible, so it's included in your original quote. Occasionally hidden damage is found once old flooring is removed — if that happens, we always explain the issue and cost before doing any extra work, never after.
Can you work around my schedule?
Yes — we offer weekday, evening and weekend scheduling for many projects, and can often prioritize urgent rental turnovers or move-in deadlines.
What happens if I'm not happy with something?
We fix it. Our final walkthrough exists specifically to catch anything before we call a job complete, and our workmanship warranty covers you well beyond that.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything clients typically ask us, in one place. Can't find your answer? Message us or call 604-750-2130 — we're happy to help.
Getting Started
Are estimates really free?
Yes — completely free with no obligation. We measure your space on site, walk you through material options, and send a written itemized quote, usually within 24–48 hours.
What areas do you serve?
We serve the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley, including Surrey, Langley, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Delta, Maple Ridge, Mission, Coquitlam, New Westminster and White Rock.
Do you offer virtual or phone consultations?
For simple projects we can discuss scope and ballpark options by phone, but we always recommend an in-home measure before finalizing a quote — it's the only way to get pricing and material recommendations exactly right.
How far in advance should I book?
Typical lead time is 1–2 weeks once materials are in hand, though we can often accommodate urgent rental turnovers or move-in deadlines faster. Tell us your timeline and we'll be upfront about what's realistic.
Estimates & Pricing
Do you supply materials, or can I buy my own?
Both. Most clients let us supply materials — we pass along trade pricing from our mills and distributors. We're also happy to install flooring you've purchased elsewhere.
What's included in the quote?
Every quote itemizes materials, labour, old-floor removal and subfloor prep separately, so you know exactly what you're paying for. There are no hidden fees added on installation day.
What payment methods do you accept?
E-transfer, cheque, cash and major cards. Larger projects follow a simple deposit-and-completion schedule laid out clearly in your quote.
Do prices change once I've approved a quote?
No — the price you approve is the price you pay, unless you request additional work or hidden subfloor damage is discovered after old flooring is removed (in which case we always explain and get approval before proceeding, never after).
Installation & Scheduling
How long does installation take?
It depends on the material and area — a single bedroom of carpet might take a few hours, while a whole-home hardwood or vinyl plank project can take several days. Your exact timeline is confirmed in your written quote. See our full process page for typical durations by stage.
Do I need to move my furniture?
We can move most furniture as part of the job — just let us know during your quote. We ask that very heavy items (pianos, gun safes, aquariums) or fully-packed closets be cleared in advance.
Do you remove and dispose of my old flooring?
Yes — removal and disposal is included as a line item in your estimate, and it's hauled away the same day rather than left behind.
Can you work evenings or weekends?
Yes, particularly for commercial spaces that need to stay open during business hours, or homeowners who can't be around on weekdays.
Do you do small jobs, like one room or a repair?
Absolutely — a single bedroom, one staircase, or a patch repair. No job is too small to do properly.
Materials & Care
Which flooring is best for my situation?
It depends on the room, your household and your budget — visit our Products & Styles page for a full breakdown, or just ask our chat assistant or our team directly. We give honest recommendations, not upsells.
Is vinyl plank really 100% waterproof?
Rigid-core SPC and WPC luxury vinyl plank is waterproof at the surface and core, making it ideal for kitchens, bathrooms and basements. Proper installation with sealed edges and transitions still matters for full performance.
How do I maintain my new floor?
Care varies by material — hardwood needs occasional refinishing and protection from standing water, carpet needs regular vacuuming and prompt spill cleanup, vinyl and tile are the lowest-maintenance options. We walk you through care specifics for your exact product at handover.
Can you match existing flooring for a repair or addition?
Often, yes — especially for common product lines. Bring us a sample or photo and we'll do our best to find an exact or close match.
Warranty & Guarantees
What does your workmanship warranty cover?
Our workmanship warranty covers the quality of installation — things like seams, transitions, fit and finish — separate from the manufacturer's product warranty, which covers the material itself. Full terms are provided at project completion.
What if something goes wrong after installation?
Contact us and we'll assess and correct any workmanship issue under warranty. We stand behind every floor we install.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — fully licensed and insured for residential and commercial work across BC.
Still Have A Question?
We're happy to talk through anything before you commit to a project.

What "Premium" Actually Means
Carpet Fibres That Last
We favour solution-dyed nylon and premium PET polyester — stain resistance built into the fibre, with face weights and twist levels matched to each room's traffic.
Real Wear Ratings
Laminate rated AC4+ for residential-heavy use; LVP with 12–20 mil wear layers (20 mil for pets and rentals). We'll show you the spec sheet, not just the sample.
Underlay & Underlayment
8 lb density carpet underlay, acoustic-rated LVP pads for strata requirements, and moisture-barrier underlayment over concrete — the hidden layer done right.
Healthier Materials
Low-VOC, FloorScore® and GREENGUARD-certified options available across every category for bedrooms, nurseries and sensitive households.
Finishes That Perform
Aluminum-oxide hardwood finishes, wire-brushed and matte textures that hide daily life, and slip-conscious tile choices for wet areas.
Warranty-Backed
Manufacturer warranties from 10 years to lifetime, plus our own workmanship warranty on the installation itself. Two layers of protection on every floor.

Care & Maintenance By Material
Carpet
Vacuum weekly (twice for high traffic or pets), blot spills immediately rather than rubbing, and schedule professional steam cleaning every 12–18 months to maintain warranty coverage and appearance.
Hardwood
Sweep or vacuum regularly, use a barely-damp microfiber mop with a wood-safe cleaner, and add felt pads under furniture. Avoid steam mops — they can damage the finish over time.
Laminate
Sweep and use a well-wrung damp mop only — standing water is laminate's main enemy. Wipe spills promptly, especially near seams.
Vinyl Plank
The lowest-maintenance option — sweep and mop with a standard floor cleaner. No waxing or refinishing ever needed. Use furniture protectors to prevent indentation under heavy pieces.
Tile
Sweep and mop regularly; reseal grout every 1–2 years in wet areas like showers and entries to prevent staining and maintain water resistance.
All Floors
Use walk-off mats at exterior doors, trim pet nails regularly, and address spills the moment they happen — the single biggest factor in how long any floor lasts.

How far in advance should I book?
Typical lead time is 1–2 weeks once materials are in hand, though we can often accommodate urgent rental turnovers faster. Message us with your timeline and we'll be straight with you.
Do you do small jobs?
Absolutely — a single bedroom, one staircase, or a patch repair. No job is too small to do properly.
What payment methods do you accept?
E-transfer, cheque, cash and major cards. Larger projects follow a simple deposit-and-completion schedule laid out in your quote.
